Getting Started

Getting your Late Nite Labs account set up is easy. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Step 1: Sign Up

Getting your account set up just takes a few clicks. Click the red Sign Up button and enter an email and password. Once your account has been validated, you can login from our homepage and begin to set your course up. Previewing Late Nite Labs? No problem. Get a feel for our digital science labs before assigning them to classes, commitment-free.

  2. Step 2: Build Your Course

You can build as many courses and sections as you need in a few minutes. Once you’ve created a section, you can start assigning your labs, which can be unassigned or changed at any point in the semester. Keep labs open all semester, or create specific start and due dates to keep student access restricted. You can even duplicate a course if you’re using the same curriculum in the future.

  3. Step 3: Tell Your Students

Ready to start the semester? Tell your students to sign up on our website. While many instructors ask students to enroll directly on our website with a credit card, it’s also possible to order PIN codes to be sold at your campus bookstore (this allows students to use financial aid). With either option, our section code generator ensures that your students’ accounts automatically connect to the section they belong in. Now everybody is ready to experiment with highly immersive digital science labs!

  1. Step 1: Register

Click the Sign Up button at the top of our homepage. You’ll enter the email you want linked with your account and then a password. Your instructor will give you a section code to enter during the login process. If your instructor has not already sent the section code to you, simply ask your instuctor for it. You’ll need the section code to register, so make sure to have it on hand.

  2. Step 2: Enroll

You will either purchase a PIN code at your bookstore, or purchase it directly through our secure site. Click the sign up button at the top of the page. You’ll be guided through the process. When you’re done, you’ll be ready to start working on the labs your instructor has assigned you.

  3. Step 3: Experiment!

If your instructor has already assigned labs, the best part has arrived: experimenting! Just go to your dashboard and click the Run button next to a specific lab. You’ll be launched into the lab, where you can start mixing chemicals, growing bacteria, testing DNA samples—whatever exciting subject your teacher has lined up for you. You could even get away with doing it in your pajamas. How good is that?
